Sewing Alley is making some changes!!

First on the list is that I am going to a customs only shop. No more monthly stockings. Please check back here in the coming weeks as I highlight individual products and details on how to purchase customs. I will also periodically showcase fabrics that way if you see something you just love you can contact me to make it into something you will use. :)

Second is I am also leaving the congo, Hidden Element. It was wonderful to work with the ladies of HE and I will miss them!

Third and largest news is I am concentrating focus on local sales! As the year progresses I will continue to sew like I normally would for monthly stockings. However I will be gearing up for local craft shows and holiday shows instead. I love meeting the people who purchase my items face to face and feel that this is a much better use of my time. Stocking each month takes days of preparation that I would rather spend sewing!

As always you can still contact me here on the blog via the comments or email at sewing alley @ gmail.com (minus the spaces). I love to get comments about my products and am happy to answer any questions you may have.

The Spotted Box

I am excited to announce that Sewing Alley will be in the Spotted Box for December! Its been a while since I have done one so it was a lot of fun to pack up all those samples. I sent in play dough samples again, in various colors as well as one full size play dough set.

Never heard of The Spotted Box? Here is some information from their website: http://www.thespottedbox.com/

What is it?
The Spotted Box is a box of family-oriented, eco-friendly samples from independent crafters, all packaged together and sent directly to you! Designed with the young family in mind, these handmade samples are focused on children and their mothers.

What does it have in it?
The Spotted Box can include samples like: Bath and body, doublers, candles, bookmarks, candy, stationery, bibs, wool food, toys, paper arts, wipes, wool wash, tarts, mama pads, dish clothes, teas, food, dog treats, gift certificates, magnets, pens, hair products, jewelry and more! Each month it changes depending on the participants.

How do I get one?
The Spotted Box go on sale the 15th of every month on Hyena Cart and Etsy.

What is The Best of The Box?
Its a product chosen to be one of the best in that month's Spotted Box.

I hope you check it out. I really enjoy being in the box as well as receiving a box. Its always fun to open up a box of surprises, if I can get to it before the kids that is. :) Most of the vendors also send discount codes or coupons with their samples so you can save when you order your favorite items!
